Robert Morris: He's a child development worker, but he's running because YPSN members help develop him, too.

Robert Morris is a Child Development worker at YPSN, that means that he delivers high-quality, developmentally-appropriate programming to infants, toddlers & childcare while their parents are participating in groups. He's a treasure in our community, and we were so honoured to hear that he was interested in running a half-marathon to raise awareness and funds for YPSN.

He explains why YPSN is so important to him:
"About two years now I have been with YPSN either as a volunteer or employee.
Since that time, to say that YPSN, the parents, and the children have taught me so much profoundly understates their impact. My involvement has really changed my life, sentimental as that sounds. Usually I work in the basement as a Child Development Worker and so most of my interactions are with the kids. Whether angry, sad, or happy they need people to meet them in that moment. And now at the end of a group as we say goodbye, and the children high five or want a hug, I feel so much more part of the world. I really just want to offer my thanks to the parents, employees, and kids of YPSN for letting me be a part of their lives."

Robert is running because he believes in young parents and their children - and their ability to change his, and the rest of our worlds.

Make a pledge on Robert's page and show that you believe in young families too.
